3. The tourists kidnapped in Egypt last week are thought to be fine. Six of the kidnappers were shot to death by the Sudanese forces and other two were captured but there is still no word on the tourists. Let me remind you, 11 European tourists (five Italian, five German and one Romanian doctor) were kidnapped nine days ago in Egypt. The bad guys demanded a ransom of $8,8 million from the German government. The group was kidnapped on a desert plateau famous for prehistoric cave paintings. (AlJazeera.net)

4. The Chinese Milk poison scandal is going out of proportions. Tesco recalled White Rabbit Creamy Candies after it was found they contained a substance called melamine that has harmed Chinese babies for the past weeks. It is the same chemical that has contaminated formula milk in China, causing four babies to die and around 53,000 children to become sick. This is a huge hit for the Chinese government who really tried to make a good appearance at the Olympics, earlier this year. A few years ago, China was a global threat after the bird flu that killed hundreds of people in 2003. It is really strange that Chinese people would kill their own babies and risk losing bilions of dollars from exporting milk and sweets.

5. Google is going to celebrate 10 years of existence this year. And they are offering an award of $10 million for an idea that would help the world. Read more on CNN.com

6. Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds got married. The two lovebirds got engaged in May and secretely married the other day in Canada. The actress once said that monogamy is “unnatural for human beings”. And yet she married Ryan. Hopefully she passed that “monogamy not natural” period and will be faithful. 7. Travis Barker and DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) surviver an airplane crash. Unfortunately, they suffered from second- and third-degree burns.

Then, after reading the first sentences, I realized that in fact the article is about kids who are 5 years old and who cannot write their own name before steping in the Year One of school.

Is it just me or those kids are too young to be in school? I don’t know how things are in England but I know it’s too early to say it’s a bad thing for a 5 year to not know how to spell and write different words.

If those kids have studied for a year how to count and write words, it means that those poor creatures have been taught all those things at the age of 4!

Maybe some people agree with that, but I think it’s not really good for a child be “tortured” with spelling lessons at the age of 4. Where’s the fun in being a kid? Where’s that happy childhood?

These days kids go to school earlier than most of older generations, and for what? To ruin its childhood?

I guess that in these modern times, when parents are too busy in fighting for careers and jobs. It’s really sad.

A young child needs to experiment things, to see the world, to get to know things in his own way.

I never agreed with mothers who use to smother their kids. Let the child make mistakes. Let the child explore things. Otherwise, many of them will grow up addictive to mothers and that’s really a big loss.

I have so many friends who were used in being smothered and pampered by their parents and now they cannot make it on their own. They find themselves trapped in a wold they cannot understand because they never had the chance to do anything.

They have no clue about cooking an egg or paying the electricity bill. They find it too hard to ask for directions or other opinions. It’s really sad! And this is the parent’s fault!

1. There is a button ‘start’ but there is no ‘stop’ button. We request you to check this.

2. One doubt is whetherany ‘re-scooter’ is available in system? I find only ‘re-cycle’, but I own a scooter at my home.

3. There is ‘Find’ button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this ‘find’ button, but was unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.

4. My child learnt ‘Microsoft word’ now he wants to learn ‘Microsoft sentence’, so when you will provide that?

5. I bought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon which shows ‘My Computer’: when you will povide the remaining items?

6. It is surprising that windows says ‘MY Pictures’ but there is not even a single photo of mine. So when will you keep my photo in that.

7. There is ‘MICROSOFT OFFICE’ what about ‘MICROSOFT HOME’ since I use the PC at home only.

8. You provided ‘My Recent Documents’. When you will provide ‘My Past Documents’?

I have nothing to add! These guys have said it all!

This is the story of James Karl Buck, a student from the University of California-Berkley who got arrested during a trip to Mahalla, Egypt. On April 10 James and his translator, Mohammed Salah Ahmed Maree were covering an anti-government protest when Egyptian police came and arrested them. The two were photographing outside a police station where the family of those who were detained asked some explanations about their relatives.

Fortunately James was able to send a one word message to another blogger friend through Twitter. The word was “Arrested“. The message alerted all his friends and bloggers in USA and Egypt.

One of the bloggers who got the message, Hossam el-Hamalawy, was writing updates on his blog to let everyone know how was James and Mohammed doing. Every couple of hours James was sending messages saying that he was still arrested but had not been charged.

On April 6 a protest against rising food prices and decreasing wages in Mahalla had been shut down by Egyptian and due to this fact the family of those who had been detained and other protesters got out on the streets and threw Molotov cocktails. They continued the protest until April 10. Then James and his translator went to Mahalla to see for themselves as James was working on a multimedia project on Egypt’s “new leftists and the blogosphere”, a part of his master’s degree thesis. He’s studying Journalism

Finally, James was set free but his translator and friend Mohammed was still detained. Officials said he was released on April 13 but nobody heard about Mohammed.

Here’s the funny part:

• Recent studies have shown that in France people don’t count their calories when they eat, the pastries are full of fats, French people drink loads of wine, have sex very often and yet the risk of getting killed by a heart attack is higher in the United States than in France.

• In Spain or Italy people drink loads of wine, they have sex very often, and yet in England the number of the people killed by a heart attack are twice the number of the people in Spain or Italy dead after a heart attack.

• In Brazil people drink loads of coffee, they get laid a lot and yet there are less heart attacks deaths than in the United States.

• People from India and Thailand eat spicy and fat food, they have sex very often and yet UK and USA  have 3x times more people suffering from heart disease.

• In China and Japan people have sex a lot, they eat all sort of spicy things and yet Chinese or Japanese people live longer than most of Americans.

The conclusion? You can eat whatever you want, you can drink as much as you can, get laid a lot cause the real cause of heart attacks is speaking English.
