“Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood.” - Oscar Wilde
I bet most of you were fascinated by the song called Grace Kelly (and not only by the melody). It was a time when all radios and Tv station used to play that song on and on until it got stuck in my mind. I wondered who was the artist that played the song. Then I heard about Mika.
Who is he? Well, I know that he’s born sometime in the middle of the ‘80 (must be the same age as I am :P) in Beirut. He and his family left the Lebanese city due to war and moved to Paris (the city of lovers and cheese:P). Because of some incident they had to establish to London.
The thing is that he always knew what he wanted. By the age of 8 he realized that music is what he loves most and that’s what he’s going to do when he’s grow up and by the age of 9 he had he’s own songs composed. Of course, success doesn’t come without hard work and Mika worked a lot to get what he wanted. He started to take classes from a Russian teacher who was know for his strict rules. He has the merit of turning Mika in what he is today. ![]()
I must admit that Mika has an extraordinary voice and his album, “Life In Cartoon Motion” shows it. He’s got a bit of Robbie Williams’s voice, a bit of Joan Baez, some KT Tunstall and Scissor Sister all mixed up together.
Oh, i was almost to forget. Mika isnot only a fabulous singer, but he can also paint. The exposition was set on 12 July in Blink Gallery and the success was enormous.
He’s joyful, successful, young and crazy. He’s just Mika.
