“Women are meant to be loved, not to be understood.” - Oscar Wilde
Elisabeth Taylor is one of my favorite actresses. She was born in Hampstead, London, England on February 27 (like my best friend) 1932 and that makes her 76 in 2008. She had won 2 Academy Awards for Butterfield 8 (1960) and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf (1966)
Her first appearance in a movie was in Lassie Come Home (1943), at age nine.
Elisabeth is also known for her many marriages. Her first marriage was at age 18 with Conrad Nicky Hilton, grandfather of Paris Hilton. The marriage lasted only a year.
Then she married again but with Michael Wilding. This time the marriage lasted for 5 years.
Soon after divorcing Michael she married another one named Michael Todd. This marriage lasted a year. Amazing!
After a year of bachelor Elisabeth married Eddie Fisher who was her husband for 5 long years. In 1963 she met Richard Burton, her partner in Cleopatra to whom she cheated on Eddie. She was even accused by a Vatican newspaper of having descended into “erotic vagrancy. The two divorced and soon after Elisabeth married Richard. He was Liz’s hubby for 10 long years. In 1974 the two got divorced so they would marry again in 1975, a marriage that lasted only a year. No doubt they loved each other but could not stay married.
Then Liz met John Warner to whom she was married for 6 years. Her last marriage was with Larry Fortensky, from 1991 to 1996.
Nowadays Elisabeth Taylor may have lost her looks but she’s still one classy woman. Unfortunately, she’s got diabetes and that’s really a torture. Perhaps her lifestyle got to her eventually
“Big girls need big diamonds.” speaking about her passion for jewlery
“I adore wearing gems, but not because they are mine. You can’t possess radiance, you can only admire it.”
“I am a very committed wife. And I should be committed too - for being married so many times.” - she got that right
“I don’t think President Bush is doing anything at all about Aids. In fact, I’m not sure he even knows how to spell Aids.” - speaking about politics and health care
“I really don’t remember much about Cleopatra. There were a lot of other things going on.” - well, she obviously was busy with Richard Burton

Gorgeous Angelina Jolie stated she is very upset over footage of her as a youngster in a drug den in New York. The footage was on the Internet for a while and she thought nobody has any interest in showing them to the wide public.
The pregnant beauty is mostly upset because the footage, which was taken about eight years ago, was publicized while promoting her latest kids movie, “Kung Fu Panda” at the Cannes Film Festival.
Angelina admitted she has taken drugs but she stated she’s clean for several years.
Apparently, Brad Pitt had no clue about the footage. Anyway, somebody hates Angelina so bad he/she wants to destroy her career.
I guess we all had our rebel times and many celebrities have gone wild at some point, that doesn’t mean they don’t have the right to straighten up.
I really hope those pregnancy rumors are a false alarm and that the train wreck singer is not really pregnant. I hope she had a big lunch and she’s having a “fast food bump” not a baby bump.

Today, when I opened the Daily Mail I saw an article about Mischa Barton and her not so perfect body. So what?
She’s like millions of other ladies. Just because she’s a star doesn’t mean she’s not allowed to have bad days, cellulite or a bad hair day. After all, we’re all humans.
Mischa was spotted sunbathing in Australia and of course photographers couldn’t resist in taking lots of photos. After all, Mischa is a celebrity, right?! NOT!
Anyway, she may be only 22 but I think cellulite has nothing to do with age. Those bloody paparazzi can’t help but point fingers at her and laugh, just like they did with Jennifer Love Hewitt (I really love the way she looks). Even you, yes you, the one reading these lines, have bad bikini days.
For all those teenagers out there thinking Mischa looks very bad, remember she looks ok now. I love the way she looks after putting on a few pounds. A few months ago she was scary skinny and I really hate skin and bones bodies.
This is Ali’s story fighting a dreadful disease: anorexia nervosa. I admire her because she has the courage to tell her story on national television. Maybe more and more teenagers will listen to her story and realize being the thinnest is very unhealthy.
In my previous post I was showing you a video of Chloe Marshall, the first size 16 model to enter the Miss England competition. Well, I’m not right person to tell you what to eat or how to look, I’m just showing you that you really must find a balance between eating and exercising. And most of all, you got to love the way you are.
It’s better to love life and do things with those you love. As a teen I was never wondering if my body was slim enough. I was eating everything I wanted and still wasn’t curvy. And this because I was (and still am) a very active person, always running from one place to another and didn’t feel the need to look in a mirror and say : “Hey, am I looking like a model now?”.
As I said, teenagers should listen to Ali’s story and realize, once and for all, that being the skinniest is not healthy. And nor being fat. Love your body and love your life.
This is part one of her story, scroll down for more.

A girl who’s size zero looks like death? Being “curvy” like her is healthy? In a couple of years you will surely change that mentality. She’s pretty, has a very pretty face but her body is fat not curvy. Kim Kardashian, Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez are curvy (at least Jennifer was curvy before her pregnancy). Even Jennifer Love Hewitt is curvy, being a size 2. Heck, even Mary J. Blidge has a curvy body.
Having a fat belly doesn’t make you curvy, it makes you fat and that’s dangerous for your health.
Anyway, I wish Chloe a lot of success but I really hope she won’t be taken as a role model.
Angelina Jolie is one of my favorite actresses. But I’m worried about her. Although she’s expecting twins, she looks too skinny. I know she’s being pushing herself too hard but I think she should consider more about giving birth to healthy babies than working too much.

Angie, please take care of you and your babies.
A couple of weeks ago I told you about Hayley Wilde, the woman who defeated anorexia. Well, unfortunately not all the ladies suffering from this dreadful disease were as lucky as Hayley was.
Rosemary Pope, a professor, weighing less than 5 stone had died after torturing herself with a diet of sweets and coffee. She was just 49. Due to her strict diet for over 30 years her heart shrunk to the size of a child’s.
Since 2006 Rosemary was working as a Pro Vice Chancellor at Bournemouth University and she managed to hide her disease for over 30 years, but a few months ago her body began to fail.
In the beginning of 2008 Rosemary contracted norovirus, a stomach virus which affected her even more than anorexia. She became thiner and thiner and soon she collapsed in her house.

A US hospital worker has leaked informations to newspapers regarding Farrah’s health. The former Charlie’s Angels lawyer, Kim Swartz said that Farrah (61) is not giving up, she’s fighting with her cancer and she’s not ready to die, as some have said.
She’s fighting for her life. It’s disturbing to her when there are false reports that she’s given up and wants to die, when the opposite is true. She’s a strong person and a fighter
The actress has been declared cancer free in February last year (2007) but unfortunately after a few months, the horrible disease has returned. Before Farrah got to tell the bad news to all her family the news was out in the tabloids. It’s just wrong to do that.
Farrah Fawcett is a great actress but she has the right to have a personal life. I wish her all the best in the world and hope she’s going to win this battle with colon cancer.
