I’m sure everyone of you heard about the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo. I got online and searched for informations and pictures about Kosovo. Reading some historical references I found out about how Tito included Kosovo in Yugoslavia.
After Tito died, in 1981 Albanians started fighting Serbians for their “rightful” country. They even asked for unification with Albania. In 1992 the first president of Kosovo was elected. His name was Ibrahim Rugova and he was the one who started building the republic of Kosovo. People had access to their own churches, hospitals, schools and many more but the republic had no army until 1997 when UCK (Ushtria Çlirimtare e Kosovës), the Kosovo Liberation Army started fighting Serbians. Their main goal was to obtain independence of Kosovo no matter what, even if people were killed during the process. (more…)
Although he looks like a walking and talking dead men, Michael Jackson is back in business. On February 10 Jacko is going to get his moment of fame celebrating the 25th anniversary of Thriller, his top selling album. I guess kids will have to lock themselves in the bathroom and stay there until Michael is going to hide his face again. In the same day the famous Grammy Awards will celebrate 50 years of existence and mister Jackson is going to perform a new version of Thriller.
Realizing that modern time ask for modern show business, some famous artists helped Michael in producing the anniversary album including Will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas and Kanye West.
The show is going to be broadcasted on CBS so stay tune.
The anniversary album costs about $15 and it is going to be for sale from February 12, according to Sony BMG Store.
Well if Michael is going to charm the audience with a live performance he’ll have to put a little less make up and practice his voice and dancing moves more. But I don’t think that will happen. I’m curious if a dead men can sing and dance like that black guy, you know, Michael Jackson.
Don’t get me wrong, I love his music but I just cannot understand why he had to be white. He looked very good as a black man.
Here’s a teaser of his anniversary Thriller album and what that album meant for people back then.

Let’s see some celebrities that got married and soon after filed for divorce.
1920’s: Rudolph Valentino & Jean Acker
He was a young Italian actor and was known as a “Latin Lover“. He was a true icon of the 1020’s and was famous for his roles in mute films such as The Sheik and The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Before he died at only 31 he got to marry Jean Acker, an actress that was famous for her lesbian escapades. She married Valentino after she was caught in a three lesbian relation. After the divorce Jean used the name Mrs. Valentino many years although legally she didn’t have the right.

There are many things that changed the history : the wheel, the machine gun, Internet, cell phone, and many, many others. They say that a pictures worths a 1000 words. I say it’s true. A picture can change someone’s mind, can make you reflect and establish your priorities better next time.
Here are some of the greatest pictures, some awarded with the famous Pulitzer Prize.
In 1967, during the Vietnam War a photographer had the courage to face the terrible war and take some pictures. The photographer’s name is Toshio Sakai and he worked for United Press International. He was the first photographer to receive the Pulitzer prize. His photo shows a wounded soldier on a bunch of sacks, soaking wet. The picture is dramatic and describes the terrible war. Toshio won the Pulitzer award in 1968.
