The Richter Gedeon company released a survey made in United States of America which shows that young people know more about contraception – about 71% of those questioned have a clue about how to prevent a pregnancy. In 1996 only 51 percent of the people questioned knew about contraception methods. In the past 5-6 years the most used contraceptive by young ladies was the emergency pill, known as the second day pill. Another good thing is that the rate of abortions has got lower, and of course that means that ladies are more careful nowadays and know that they can enjoy a healthy love life without concerning about pregnancy.
Let’s see the advantage of the emergency pill. So, the main advantage is that it helps when all the other contraceptive methods fails. When the condom breaks, you forgot the daily pill, your diagram broke or moved, you can always use the emergency pill. The main disadvantage is that this method is not protecting you of sexual diseases. So, if you don’t have a stable relationship, it is better for you to use condoms, which are about 98% safe.
